Preseason 7v7 Tournament

We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting a 7 on 7 tournament on Saturday August 17th as a preseason opener for the regular season. 7 on 7 is a fast-paced, high-flying, pass only game of football. We think it's the perfect way for teams to show they are ready for the season! All registered GVYF players are eligible to participate with their team at no cost (8U through 14U tackle and flag teams welcome).

Lineman Challenge

Participants in the Lineman Challenge will participate in mini-tournaments for a variety of drills including head-to-head challenge, tug of war, and precision snapping. Each division (8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U) will crown a champion after all drills have concluded.

Ages

All GVYF registered participants are eligible to compete with their teams in 8U, 10U, 12U, or 14U divisions.

When

Saturday August 17th - approximately 8:00am to 4:00pm

Jerseys

Team jerseys may not be available prior to 7v7 tournament. Teams are encouraged to wear like-colored shirts or pinnies.

Games

Format will be determined based on the number of registered teams. Teams will play 2 or 3 games in the morning for seeding before a single or double elimination tournament in the afternoon. We will get teams as many games as possible.

Equipment

7v7 does not require any equipment except for mouth guards. It is single-hand touch.

Participants in the lineman challenge will be in helmets, shoulder pads, and shorts. Mouth guards will be required.
